BEFORE YOU READ: THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE OFFENSIVE, DEMEANING, ATTACKING, TRIGGERING, ETC. THIS IS MEANT TO BE A FRIENDLY LITTLE DEBATE/DISCUSSION. IF IT SHOWS ANY SIGNS OF BEING AGGRESSIVE, I WILL BLOCK YOUR COMMENT/REPLY.
I SEVERELY ENCOURAGE A NICE ATMOSPHERE AND A CHANCE TO FREELY DISCUSS WITH ANYONE WHO COMMENTS.
I want to see what you all think and hear lengthy, good discussions.
Why do you think it's socially accepted - in a world that has proven to majorly accept science above religion - for someone to speak of God in a normal context and as if everyone believes in God? Like in a conversation, someone might say "God's got a plan for this and this" without any regard to if the other person is, in fact, believing in the same deity. Why do you think that this is seen as the social norm?
As a follow up: Why would it be seen as not socially acceptable if I were to do the same thing but replace "God" with another deity like a pagan god, Buddha, or even Satan? Does this say something about the society?
Specify on how it is in your area, especially. Like if you're from Japan or some other country or even just in the US, please explain why these questions may or may not apply to you. I love to hear about different regions and different norms
